At Lioness Rising, our mission is to empower women to recognise their inner strength, reclaim their confidence and live bold, courageous, authentic lives — free from abuse, intimidation, and fear.
We believe that true empowerment is built on two powerful forces: knowledge and inner strength. When women rise in confidence and sisterhood, they become unstoppable.
Empowerment Through Knowledge
We believe that the key to preventing abuse lies in empowerment. We equip women with the critical insight needed to make healthy, informed relationship choices. Through education and awareness, we shine a light on the many forms of abuse — emotional, psychological, financial, sexual, coercive and physical — and reveal the tactics used by abusers to gain power and control.
By understanding what healthy, respectful love truly looks like, women gain the clarity and confidence to build relationships rooted in mutual respect and safety.
An informed woman is an empowered woman — and knowledge is her greatest protection.

Our Story
We are Lioness Rising — a sisterhood, a pride, a community of women who have walked through the destruction of unhealthy and abusive relationships and found our way back to power, love, and freedom.
Our story is one you might recognize.
For too long, many of us didn’t realize we were being abused. We thought abuse only meant physical or sexual violence. We didn’t understand the hidden, insidious tactics of emotional, psychological, financial, digital, and coercive control. We didn’t have the knowledge or the language to name what we were experiencing.
At the same time, we battled our own sense of self. We struggled with self-love, self-worth, and confidence. We hadn’t yet learned that self-love is not selfish—it is the essential, non-negotiable foundation of empowerment. Without it, we accepted less than we deserved, unable to set the standards and boundaries needed to protect ourselves.
But together, we began to heal. We learned. We grew.
We armed ourselves with the one weapon they cannot take: Knowledge. We learned the tactics, we saw the patterns, and we broke the silence. We rebuilt ourselves from the inside out, and found the courage to walk away from what no longer served us. We cultivated profound self-love, built new foundations of self-belief, and reclaimed our voices.
We awakened the inner lioness that refuses to be caged—that fierce, wise, and powerful strength that had been within us all along. By empowering ourselves from within, we found the strength to make bolder, healthier, and more authentic choices. Now, our purpose is to help you find yours.
This purpose is born from a fierce urgency. We are a sisterhood of women who are tired of nothing changing. We refuse to accept a world where, instead of living safer lives, more and more women are being abused and killed. It is time for women, and for society at large, to take abuse against women and children seriously and to demand real, sustainable change.
We unequivocally refuse to stand by and let this be someone else’s problem. We are standing up to be a voice for every woman who cannot yet stand up for herself.
We are also here to break the silence and the stigma. No more excuses. No more distancing ourselves from other women struggling in abusive relationships, believing we are “above” them. Just as we, the founders of Lioness Rising, wrongly believed we were “too strong” to end up in an abusive relationship—and yet we did—we know that every woman is vulnerable. This is not a failure of strength; it is a failure of a system that allows abuse to thrive in silence.
We are calling on women worldwide to stand with us. We want to empower you with the knowledge of abuse tactics and the inner power of self-love, and then we want you to stand with us to empower the next woman. We are building a united force of women so powerful, so unstoppable, and so fierce that the world has to take notice.
Today, we stand together as a sisterhood of unstoppable women. We are a pride of lionesses united by courage, compassion, and purpose. Like the lionesses we are named for, we uplift, protect, and empower one another.
We rise for ourselves, for one another, and for every woman still finding her way to freedom. We are fighting to make this world a safer place for every one of our sisters today, and for generations to come. Because when WoMen rise together, we are truly unstoppable — fierce, free, and unbreakable.
